Configuration Settings

There are certain AppData settings and registry settings used by the Crawler and Contenta to export the correct Contenta objects, and index them in the correct Solr collection.

These settings are described in this section. Registry settings are set by running the Contenta App Server installer. If you want to change these settings later, use one of the following tools:

  • Windows

    From the command line, regedit

  • Linux

    Contenta_home/bin/fileregedit

(see The Fileregedit Utility).

AppData settings are specified by running the appropriate scripts/executables, which are located in the Contenta_home/bin directory.

New Contenta installs—Run the newdb.pl Perl script. See New Database Command.

Contenta Upgrade installs—Run the upgrade_56 executable. See “Upgrading the Contenta Database” in the Upgrading Contenta Client on Windows publication.

Contenta S1000D Upgrade installs—Run the upgrade_S1000D_56.pl Perl script. See “Upgrading an SDL Contenta S1000D Database” in the Installing and Upgrading Contenta S1000D .publication

If you want to change AppData settings later, see Global AppData Settings.
