Container Objects

Container objects organize data objects to facilitate the management of the data.

In the example below the Configuration object named XyBook, Inc., the Group objects and Document objects are container objects. They cannot contain data of their own. You use the container objects to build the hierarchy; they can contain other container objects and/or data objects.

For example:

The Group object named Publications in the graphic below contains two other Group objects named Sources and Contenta. The Sources Group object contains other Group objects named European Travel Guide and Shakespeare. The Contenta Group object contains a Document container named FrameMakerFiles, and you can see below these containers are other containers and/or data objects.
