Creating a Secondary Property Sheet

Procedure

  1. Execute the Contenta Administration Tool (pcmadmin) in singleuser mode. (See Executing the Administration Tool.)
  2. Create a property sheet. (See Creating A Property Sheet .)

    Note the name of the new property sheet—this will be the Default Value for the new field in Step 7.

  3. Modify the Access Level Field of the new property sheet to make it not displayable.You may have to do this after the property sheet is created. (See Modifying Fields.)
  4. Access the Fields for Property Sheet window for the object to which you want to add the new property sheet. (See Accessing the Fields For Property Sheet Window.)
  5. Create a new field (see Adding Fields) and complete the Fields in Property Sheet as described in the following table:

    Field NameEnter a unique field name.
    Field TypeSelect Property Sheet
    Is Field Displayable?Enter Yes to indicate that the field should display in the property sheet.
    Is Field Modifiable?Enter Yes to specify that the field can be modified.
  6. Click the Create button to create the new field and display the Default Value for Field window.
  7. Enter the name of the property sheet you created in Step 2 by:
    • Clicking the button to the right of the field to access the list of property sheets
    • Selecting the new property sheet name.
  8. Click the Save button to complete the creation of the secondary property sheet.
    Example: The following is an example of a secondary property sheet. A property list field was added to the sysadmin desktop that points to a secondary property sheet. When the property list field is clicked, the secondary window is displayed.
