Creating a user note

You can create a user note, which is a message that you send to another user's desktop. A user note is time-stamped and read-only; only the recipient and the SysAdmin can read the note.

Procedure

  1. In the tree view, click Assignments.
  2. In the details view, click Create Note.
  3. In the To field, enter a recipient.
  4. In the From field, enter your address.
    By default, this field is pre-populated with your login role.
  5. In the Subject field, enter a subject label.
  6. In the Note field, enter the body of your note.
  7. Click Send.

Results

In the tree view, when you click Assignments the note appears on the recipient's desktop in the details view. The recipient must click the note to see its contents.
