Foreword
The use of the former product names for SDL Contenta in this document was done to reflect accurate references to the title of documents, or directory paths, registry values, and so on, that currently still exist in the product line and/or the product name in versions prior to the SDL Contenta name change.
SDL Contenta was previously known as Content@, Parlance, PDM (Parlance Document Manager), and PCM (Parlance Content Manager). The client GUI, SDL Contenta Explorer (also referred to as CE) was previously known as the Parlance Explorer or PE—all may be reflected in the code, filenames, and/or directory names.
Many programs described in this document do not run in singleuser mode therefore it is possible to modify the SDL Contenta database when it is in use. If modifying the SDL Contenta database when users are accessing it, be certain that you are not interfering with user activity that can cause corruption to the database or that may cause problems for users. Use the pcmsessions command to check database access.
