SDL Contenta Technical Bulletin: Crystal Reports
Contenta stores data in a relational database that is readily accessible by any reporting tool that can access relational databases.
Many of these tools allow you to develop reports tailored to their specific requirements. They also provide formatting options that satisfy corporate branding or personalization requirements.
As of Contenta 4.0, sample reports are delivered with the Contenta installation that can be used in a Crystal Reports environment. The sample reports were developed using Crystal Reports XI and include:
- DueDate.rpt
- WorkInProgress.rpt
- ProjectLocks.rpt
These reports are based on the tables delivered in the standard Contenta database. If you have custom object types based on the Project object, you must customize the reports to report on this data.
This document describes the SQL that was used to create the PowerBuilder reports in Contenta 3.x. The descriptions include user options and actions, and the SQL that was used to satisfy the user requests.
