To set the client_x_display string value for a user:
Procedure
- In Content Explorer, click Tools Options.
- Click the Registry Settings tab.
- Open the following folders in the left pane of the window:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Content@ > Settings
- Select (highlight) the Display folder under Settings to set or edit values shown in the right pane of the window.
If the
client_x_displayvalue exists and you only want to modify it, select (highlight) the value and then click the Modify Value button. The Edit Value window opens—skip to Step 7. - Click Insert Value.
An Edit Value window appears.
- In the Value field at the top, enter:
client_x_display
- In the Value field at the bottom, enter (or modify) the name of the client node.
- Verify that the Type is String—if not, click in the radio button next to String.
- Click OK when done.
- You can also set a default value under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Content@ > Settings > Display.
The system looks for, and uses the value for client_x_display under HKEY_CURRENT_USER first. If there is no client_x_display value under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, the value under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is used, and HKEY_CURRENT_USER is updated with the value.
