The Dynamic Import Global Fields

The Global tab fields are illustrated in this topic.

This example illustrates the Global fields when Dynamic Import is executed from the Tools menu within the Contenta Explorer.

Example:

The fields not displayed when Dynamic Import is executed from within Contenta Explorer are noted with '*' in the table below. The default values for these fields are those you provided in the Contenta Explorer login window.

FieldDescription
CommentComment describing the map file (optional).
PCM PathThe path in the Contenta hierarchy into which you want to import the document. The path defaults to the path selected in the Contenta Explorer when Dynamic Import is executed.
SourceThe path to the document that you want to import. Use the ... browse button to locate the directory and file, or enter the path manually using the keyboard. When entering manually, be certain to use the correct slash for the operating system ('/' for UNIX and '\' for Windows). If you use the wrong slash, Dynamic Import will fail.
CatalogThe pathname to the OmniMark library file.
FieldDescription
User*The name of the Contenta user who will log in to the database to run Dynamic Import. The user must have the appropriate permissions to execute and use Dynamic Import.
Password*Password for the user in the User field.
Server*The name of the Server where the Contenta database resides.
Database*The name of the Contenta Database into which you want to import files.
Socket*The Socket (PcmPortal) number for the server and database indicated.
Document Type*Data to be written to the object’s Document Type property sheet field.
SecurityData to be written to the object’s Security property sheet field. Valid data is nobody, secure, sysadmin. (This field is optional.)
XML OptionsUse to specify whether the document to be imported:
  • uses a DTD
  • uses a Schema
  • is well-formed (uses neither)
