Viewing the routing history

You can access status information about the objects in a ContentRoutingProject on your desktop by accessing the object’s routing history.

About this task

From the Workflow tab in the information display window or under Properties you can see:
  • Where the object is in the workflow
  • What task is currently being accomplished
  • Who is working on the task—that is, the name of the Routing User and on which desktop or workflow the object is located
  • Who has accessed the object and in what sequence
  • When the object was forwarded from each task and user, and when the task was completed

When an object is forwarded, Contenta updates the routing history.

Procedure

  1. Click on the object in the ContentRoutingProject.
  2. Click the Workflow tab.
    The routing history displays in the bottom portion of the client window. Although you do not have access to the object after you forward it, the sysadmin and ProjMan users always have access and can view its Routing History while it is in any task in the workflow. This allows the sysadmin or ProjMan to determine where the object is, and if it is on-schedule. He or she can also access a list of the objects in the ContentRoutingProject that have been modified, and can post specific objects if necessary, at any time in the in the workflow.
