Configuring Search Object Types
The Contenta object types that are shown in the Search tab when Show Individual Item Types is clicked are defined in AppData at the Global or user level. The search object types are defined in the following AppData setting:
Global > content@web > Settings > cw_searchObjectTypes
or
user > content@web > Settings > cw_searchObjectTypes
Contenta Web checks the user AppData for a cw_searchObjectTypes setting first and if one doesn’t exist, it checks the Global AppData.
The sysadmin user can configure this setting to contain a hyphen-delimited list of any object types defined in the database, and then Search will return only hits matching those object types. For example, in a Contenta S1000D database the cw_searchObjectTypes setting might be set to:
