Configuring the LDAP server

You must specify the attributes that identify the LDAP server to which to connect.

Procedure

  1. Open xyldap.cfg for editing.
  2. Set ldap_host to the name of the LDAP server.
  3. If you use SSL, ensure that ldap_ssl is present and set to TRUE.
  4. If you do not use Active Directory, and if your certificate database is not the file cert7.db located in the bin\ subdirectory of the Contenta_home directory, specify its actual name or location in the certdbpath attribute.
  5. If your LDAP server runs on a non-default port or uses an SASL authentication mechanism, see The xyldap.cfg configuration file, Settings, default, and description for the xyldap.cfg file for a full reference of the settings that let you configure these items.
  6. Save and close xyldap.cfg.
  7. Restart PcmPortal.
