Configuring the out-of-date feature
Perform these steps to configure the Contenta out-of-date feature.
Procedure
- Log in to Contenta Explorer application as the sysadmin user.
- Click Tools > Options.
- In the Tools Options window select the following.
Tool Preferences > {Global} > Settings - Click Insert Value.
- In the resulting Edit Value window, in the Value Name field enter the following.
GetLastestCopyOnPost
- In the Value Data field, enter the value for the behavior you desire as described below.
Value Behavior/Description OFF Error message displayed, and manual update by user required This value results in an error message being displayed to the user. The post fails.
The user must manually update the out-of-date object and post again.
This is the default if the GetLastestCopyOnPost value does not exist in AppData.
ON Automatic update and post This value results in an automatic update of the out-of-date object(s) and a posting of the ContentRoutingProject or standard Project.
The update is a background process, and the user is unaware of the action.
WARN User-prompt update A message is displayed indicating that the specified object(s) are out-of-date and need to be updated. The user must choose to update the object or not.- To automatically update the out-of-date object(s), click OK.
- To cancel the post, click Cancel. The objects are not updated and the ContentRoutingProject or Project is not posted. The user can manually update the objects, and then post.
Tip: Use the Details option to collapse or expand the information at the bottom of the window about the objects, and the path and object name.
