ContentRoutingProject and standard Project
Each ContentRoutingProject or Project has one user assigned as its creator and manager.
Both the ProjMan and sysadmin users have the required permissions to create and manage a ContentRoutingProject or a Project; however the ProjMan is typically responsible for these tasks. After the ContentRoutingProject or Project is created, additional ProjMan users can be assigned to it.
The ProjMan must have access to the container that houses the parent ContentRoutingProject or Project to create or manage the project. The sysadmin copies the configuration object onto the ProjMan’s desktop, and if granted the appropriate object creation permissions, the ProjMan can create and manage the ContentRoutingProject or Project in the configuration. The following are the tasks necessary for creating a new ContentRoutingProject or Project. The steps to complete each task follow.
- Create a ContentRoutingProject or Project object in the desired container.
- Optionally (depending on the Workflow template assigned to the ContentRoutingProject or Project), define the project team members—make the user-role assignments. If the workflow template has user-role assignments, this task may not have to be done unless changes are necessary.
- Decide on the ProjMan users that are to have permission to manage the ContentRoutingProject or the Project (aside from the project creator) and add them as team members to the ProjMan role in the Workflow.
- Populate the projects by reusing objects into the Project or ContentRoutingProject container.
- Forward one or more of the objects in the ContentRoutingProject or the Project to the first task in the Workflow.
