Creating a Property List

You can create a Property List field to populate a Property Sheet.

If you want to create a select list and the options on the list are to be populated by the sysadmin user:

  • Create a Property Sheet in pcmadmin that is to contain the select list values.
  • Add a Property Sheet field to the sysadmin desktop and specify that:
    • the field is a Property List
    • the new Property Sheet is the default value for the new field
The Property List field can be modified so it allows the sysadmin to enter data. The data entered in the field is written to the Property Sheet designated as the default value—which in this case is the new Property Sheet—the Name row in the new Property Sheet is populated with the data. In turn, the data in the Name row becomes the options on the Select List.
