Delete Contenta Object
Use the Delete Contenta Object... Context menu option to delete the element named in the option.
To access the option, position your cursor within the element tags of the text to be deleted then right-click for the Context menu.
The closest ancestor object-mapped element name appears in the option. If you click inside an element tag that is not mapped to a Contenta object, the option contains the name of closest ancestor element tag that is mapped to a Contenta object.
Example:
If you click on text within the SPEAKER element tags, the option would read: Delete Contenta Object SPEECH because SPEECH is the closest ancestor object-mapped element.
In this case, executing the option not only deletes the text within the SPEAKER tags but it deletes the data in the SPEECH element. When the document is saved and imported (checked-in) to Contenta, the related SPEECH object is deleted from the hierarchy.
When the Delete option is selected, you are asked to verify the deletion.
