Editing Content and Encodings
When using SDL Contenta Web for checkout, the Dynamic Import (DI) map is stored inside the content (within a PI or Processing Instruction) for later use.
If the data you are checking out is encoded as UTF-8, the DI map is converted to UTF-8 before SDL Contenta inserts it into the content so that only one encoding is maintained.
Note however that the custom code for the Arbortext Editor and XMetaL Author editors do not support the UTF-8 DI MAP if the DI MAP contains UTF-8 encodings that are not single byte (at or below 7f). This is a known issue and can lead to the loss of data.
