FrameBook Checkout Tool
To use the FrameBookCheckout tool:
Procedure
- In Contenta Explorer, select the FmBook or FmDoc object that you want to checkout (modify).
- Click Tools > FrameBookCheckout.
The FrameBookCheckout tool automatically executes FrameMaker and opens the exported book file in the FrameMaker application.Note: If using the Contenta Web FrameBookCheckout tool, you are prompted to accept an applet. Click Yes to accept the applet. If you refuse the applet, you cannot modify the data.
You can check out a book file—you can open the chapter files from the book file, modify the data in the chapters, reorder the chapters in the book file, add a TOC, Index, list of files, etc.
When you check-in the book file, all files in the book file are also checked-in.
If new chapters (.fm files) were added during the editing session, the data is imported into Contenta when you check-in the document.
The Checkin tool creates the corresponding objects when the book file is imported. The new files must be present in the respective folder in the Checkout directory.
A single FrameMaker chapter file—the data can be modified independent of the book file. The graphics in the chapter are managed accordingly; that is, they are located in the Graphics container and exported with the file. Note that the FrameBook tools were designed for use with the FrameMaker book file.
