Issues and FAQ
Issue:
After importing files, the objects that were created all have locks on them.
Explanation/Resolution:
As objects are being imported, a lock is placed on them. If the interface does not update after the import, do a refresh in the Contenta Explorer to re-display. To refresh the view, press the F5 key on the keyboard or select in the interface.
Issue:
When importing an SGML document into CompoundAscii-based objects, the case of the tags and attributes is converted—for example, all tags and attributes are lower case and they are converted to upper case in the data after split and import.
Explanation/Resolution:
The Sgml.dec file being referenced does not designate to preserve the case. To resolve:
- Open the map file you are using to import the SGML file in a non-formatting editor.
- Locate the line that identifies the Sgml.dec file to be used.
SGMLDECL: path/Sgml.dec
For example:SGMLDECL: c:/progra~1/xyente~1/content@/encaps/di/entities/Sgml.dec - If necessary, change the path to point to an SGML declaration file that is to be used with your DTD and documents, save and exit. It is recommended that the declaration file be located in the directory with the DTD to which it applies.
- Open the Sgml.dec file in a non-formatting editor and search for NAMECASE.
- Set the line for GENERAL, to NO:
- Save and exit Sgml.dec, then import your SGML file.
Issue:
I want to define a File Import tool for Contenta Web that uses the -t4 and/or -nodirext switches.
Explanation/Resolution:
To add these switches for Contenta Web Dynamic Import (DI File Import feature), use pcmadmin to enter the command line(s) for the existing tool entries or for a new import tool that you create. See the SDL Contenta Administration User Guide for information about using pcmadmin to create Contenta tools.
| To add the switch(es), change the command line (using pcmadmin) to: |
