Locating the Paths of Corrupted Objects

Use the Contenta command utility (pcmcmd) to locate the paths of corrupted objects.

About this task

The steps include a sample command that assumes a configuration called books, and a corrupted object with the id 14846.

Procedure

  1. To execute the pcmcmd utility, enter the following at a command prompt:
    pcmcmd
  2. You are prompted for the following information:
    Host:
    Socket number:
    Database:
    Login:
    Password:

    Host is the name of the Contenta server.

    Socket Number is the PcmPortal number.

    Database is the name of the database in which the corrupted object resides.

    Login is a Contenta login name—always login as sysadmin.

    Password is the password for the Contenta login name specified at the Login prompt.

  3. At the resulting CMD> prompt, enter a command using the syntax in the example below:
    find books|#14846
    The output of the query displays the paths to the corrupted objects. Execute this query for each of the corrupted object IDs reported by checkblobs.
