This task describes how to log in to a database using Contenta Web with LDAP or Internal Authentication.
Before you begin
Your system administrator must have supplied you with a user name and password, the name of the database, the name of the database server, and the portal number.
Procedure
- Start your web browser and specify the following URL using a fully-qualified host name:
http://<host_name>/cw/standard/code/CWLoginForm.jsp
The
Contenta Web log in window appears.
- Click Show Advanced Login Options.
The
Advanced Contenta Web log in window appears.
- Complete the following fields:

| User ID | Enter your Contenta login name.
Note: Your login name is checked against a list of desktop names in the database.

| Password | Enter your password. |
|---|
| Database | Enter the name of the database to which you want to connect. The database name may require that you provide the ODBC_DSN. For example: cetrain1@cat. |

| Node | Enter the name of the server that contains the database to which you want to connect. |

| Socket |
Enter the PcmPortal number running on the server for the database.
Note: The default is 6050.
