See the Contenta Administration User Guide for information about using fileregedit.
Modifying the Default AppData Settings
Some AppData settings are delivered with default settings that can be modified as needed. Three AppData settings have defaults even if they are not set. These three settings may be added and set otherwise as needed:
The launchArbortext AppData setting specifies whether Arbortext Editor is to be launched automatically during check out and fetch in Contenta Web. The setting is not added during install or upgrade. If not set, the default is yes. If you do not want Arbortext to be launched automatically, add this AppData setting and set it to no.
The showSensitiveInfo AppData setting specifies whether information that may be deemed sensitive is to be displayed in the About Contenta Web screen. This setting is not added during install or upgrade. If not set, the default is yes for backward compatibility. If you want to display only the Contenta Web version, add this AppData setting and set it to no.
The EnableDefaultUserName AppData setting specifies whether the username should be stored for later retrieval for the login screen in both Contenta Explorer and Contenta Web. This optional security setting is not added during install or upgrade. If not set, the default is yes for backward compatibility. If you do not want the username to be stored for later retrieval for the login screen, add this AppData setting and set it to no.
To add or modify these and other AppData settings, see Application Preferences in AppData.
