Notes
This topic introduces you to the different types of notes used in Contenta.
The two object categories for notes are:
- User notes are associated with the desktop object. The note typically contains a message to a specific user. The note can be read if you have access to the desktop. Only the user to whom the note is sent, and the sysadmin, can read the note.
- Object notes are associated with objects other than the desktop object. The note typically contains a message about the object to which it is attached. If you have permission to access the object, then you can read the note.
Object notes are either global or local.
A global note is A local note is Generated by the user Generated by the user Attached to a specific object and to all reused copies of the object Attached to a specific instance of the object; it is not attached to reused copies of the object Considered a modification to the object if the object is in a project, adding the object to the post list. Not considered a modification if the object is in a project (the object is not added to the Post list)
