Populating the ContentRoutingProject
Create the ContentRoutingProject by identifying data objects that need revision, editing, modification, or authoring, and place the objects that meet the same work criteria into the same ContentRoutingProject container.
For example, you can divide the data objects into more than one ContentRoutingProject based on the following criteria.
- Subject matter
- Tasks and the task routes they require
- Workpools or users that are to complete required tasks
- Due dates
Assign the appropriate Workflow to the a ContentRoutingProject based on the work criteria you have identified.
The ProjMan or sysadmin user can add objects to a ContentaRoutingProject at any task in its Workflow for which they have write access. Adding objects places them in the ContentRoutingProject at the task selected in the Task list at that time. The task selected becomes the Routing Task for the object and you become the Routing User. As the RoutingUser, you must forward the ContentRoutingProject or one or more of its child objects to the next task and user for work to begin.
You can populate the ContentRoutingProject with the data objects by the following methods.
- Reusing objects into your ContentRoutingProject from the configuration. Refer the ReUse topic in the The Edit menu section of the Contenta Explorer user documentation for information about reusing objects.
- Creating objects in the ContentRoutingProject. If the new object is created in a container object that was reused from the configuration into the ContentRoutingProject, the new object is considered a child of the container object. When the ContentRoutingProject is posted, the new object is added under the container in the configuration. When the new object is created in the ContentRoutingProject object, it has no parent in the configuration. When the ContentRoutingProject is posted, the object is added directly under the configuration container.
- Use the Search tool to autopopulate the ContentRoutingProject based on search results. Select a task in the Task list for the ContentRoutingProject to specify where in the workflow the objects from the search results are to be placed before launching the Search tool on the ContentRoutingProject.
