Registry Settings

The Registry Settings tab writes data to the Windows registry.

It serves as a central location in which to store Contenta configuration information and user-specified preferences. Directories and files are reflected as key values under the tab.

  • On Windows systems, editing key values using the Registry Settings tab mimics editing the same key values using regedit and editing directly in the Windows registry.
  • On Linux systems, Registry Settings serves as the only location in which Contenta configuration specifications can all be viewed and modified in one place. (see The Fileregedit Utility for information about viewing or modifying the registry on Linux systems.)

Use the buttons under the Registry Settings tab to insert, delete, and rename keys and values. Click on the Refresh Key to apply the changes you make.

Only make changes under the Registry Settings tab if you are thoroughly familiar with the registry keys, values, and referenced paths. Incorrect modifications can have adverse effects to the Contenta application and/or its performance.
