Roles

By default, SDL delivers four Contenta roles:

The four Contenta roles include:

  • sysadmin—the Contenta System Administrator; there is only one sysadmin user
  • ProjMan—the project manager; you may have multiple ProjMan users
  • writer—you may have multiple writers
  • reviewer—you may have multiple reviewers

In addition to the roles SDL delivers, you can create other roles to meet your specific project needs using the Contenta Administration Tool, pcmadmin. Custom roles must be defined before you can use them in a workflow or assign a user to the role. After you create your database and before you create the user desktops, you must create the custom roles you require.
