Tracking a ContentRoutingProject

There are several methods you can use to track a ContentRoutingProject.

The following are the methods available for tracking objects in a ContentRoutingProject.
  • Display the Routing History by the selecting the Routing History tab.
  • Display the object’s Routing History Property Sheet.
  • View the Routing Task of the object in the Workflow display area.

Routing History for ContentRoutingProject child objects

To display the Routing History for the objects in a ContentRoutingProject, select an object in the ContentRoutingProject’s hierarchy, then click the Routing History tab at the bottom of the Contenta Explorer window.

The Routing History contains the following.
  • The object’s current task and the team member or workpool assigned to the task.
  • A history of the tasks that have been completed and the team members who completed them.
  • The dates when the completed tasks were forwarded and their scheduled due dates.

Property Sheet information for objects in a ContentRoutingProject

Access the Property Sheet of an object in a ContentRoutingProject to display the object’s Routing History using one of the following methods.
  • Right-click the child object and select Property Sheet from the drop-down menu.
  • Select the child object and click Edit > Properties. Then use the Routing History field to access the Routing History report window.

The Routing History report window displays the task, role, user, due date and actual completion date for each occasion the object was forwarded. To resize a field in the report, click the right mouse button on its border (line) and drag the border until the field is the desired size.

ContentRoutingProject Workflow

Display the ContentRoutingProject’s Workflow for a graphical view of the Workflow. The ContentRoutingProject’s child objects are forwarded from task to task as determined by the Workflow. Since the child objects can be at different tasks in the Workflow, you must view the Routing History or Routing Tasks for the child objects to see their current tasks.
