Use the Contenta Password Manager utility (dbpwdmgr) to modify an existing Contenta database password, LDAP principle account, Crawler principle user password, or Contenta Web and Contenta Server trust key.
Procedure
- At a command prompt, type dbpwdmgr.
The system displays a welcome message including information about the utility and the types of passwords you can modify, and the DBPWDMGR> prompt.
- At the DBPWDMGR> prompt, type modify.
The system displays a list of options similar to the following.
Available options:
1 Configure Contenta database passwords
2 Configure LDAP principle account
3 Configure Crawler principle user password
4 Configure Contenta Web and Contenta Server trust key
r Return to command choices
Your choice:
- At the Your choice prompt, enter the number corresponding to the type of item you want to modify.
- When prompted, enter the name of the EXISTING database, user, or trust key you want to modify.
Note: If the database, user, or trust key does not already exist, the program prompts you to indicate if you want to create it.
- Enter yes and the utility enters the create mode; see the preceding Using the Contenta Password Manager utility create option topic.
- Enter no and you are returned to the DBPWDMGR> prompt.
If you are modifying a trust key, skip to step 6.
- When prompted, enter the EXISTING password for the database or user you want to modify.
Note: This step does not apply if you are modifying a trust key.
- When prompted, enter and reenter the NEW password for the database or user you want to modify or the NEW trust key.
The utility reports success and returns you to the DBPWDMGR> prompt.
- At the DBPWDMGR> prompt, enter another command or press CTL+C (or type quit) to exit the utility.
