Selecting Web applications to add the Context Engine Cartridge to

Install Context Engine Cartridge installation in one or more Web applications in order to activate it on one more Web sites and/or Web services.

Procedure

  1. To add Context Engine Cartridge to a Web site, that Web site must be a Web application that contains the SDL Tridion Content Delivery API Server Role.
  2. Alternatively, to add Context Engine Cartridge to a Web service, that Web service must be a Web application that contains the SDL Tridion Content Delivery Web Service Server Role.
  3. If you want to add Context Engine Cartridge to Experience Manager, you must add it both to the Experience Manager Web site (that is, the Web application to which you added the Experience Manager Web site Extension Server Role, and to the Web application that contains the Experience Manager Web service.
  4. Regardless of which Web application(s) you choose to add Context Engine Cartridge, enable Context Engine Cartridge Server Controls (for use in your ASP.NET Web application(s)) or Custom Tags (for use in your JSP Web application(s)) by adding resources and making configuration changes in the Content Deployer.
