A Gallery Page displays a set of thumbnail images. You can click on an image to view it full size, scroll through the gallery, and see other information like an image captions.

When you create a Gallery Page, new Components are created for you containing dummy content. You can edit or replace the content. By default, the following items are included in the layout:
- a main article Component
- a list Component containing two image items

The Multimedia are displayed in the Gallery in the order they are specified in the list Component. The images are displayed in a 4-column layout.
Procedure
- Open your Web site in Experience Manager.
- In the Home tab of the Ribbon, .
- From the library page, select Gallery Page.
- Specify the following properties:
- Page Title—enter the internal name of the Page
- File Name—enter the name of the Page as it appears in the browser address bar
- Page Location—accept the default, or click Change and select the section of the Web site you want the Page to appear in.
Note: A naming convention is used to hide or display Pages in the navigation: sections that use a numeric prefix consisting of 3 numbers, for example 010 Articles, are displayed, sections that omit the prefix are displayed only in the breadcrumb, and sections prefixed with a underscore (_) are not visible in the navigation structure.
- Folders for Components—if you want to store the default Components containing dummy content that are created when you create a Section Page in a different location, click Configure Folders for Components, select a new Folder and click Apply to confirm your choice.
- Click Create Page.
- Change the main article page inline:
- Change the image—browse to and select a new background image
- Change the text—enter body text, subheading and content
- Add media—add additional multimedia and captions
- Click Show Properties in the top right corner of the Component and in the Metadata section, click Edit. Modify the following properties:
- Metadata Description—used in search engines
- Short Title—used in navigation
- Intro Text—used as summary text
Note: Short Title and Intro Text are used in item lists and teasers which link through to this item (link to the full article) .
- You can change the Gallery Heading inline, but to modify the Gallery content, you need to click Open in Form View, where you can, for each item:
- Change the Subheading - this appears as the image caption
- Change the Media Image
- Content and Link elements are not used in the Image Gallery
- Add content items:
- Click Open in Form View.
- Click the plus sign to add an item.
- Enter a Subheading to define the text that appears above a content item.
- Enter Content for the main body text (a Format Area containing the formatted text).
- Click the Media option and browse to and select a Multimedia Component link that points to a multimedia item that appears inline
- Click Publish and select the Target Type that Publishes to your Staging Web site.
- Click Save and Close.
- Reorder items (items are displayed in order they are specified in the Component):
- Click Open in Form View.
- Drag the item to a new location.
- Click Publish and select the Target Type that Publishes to your Staging Web site.
- Click Save and Close.
- Remove items:
- Click Open in Form View.
- Click the delete icon next to an item.
- Click Publish and select the Target Type that Publishes to your Staging Web site.
- Click Save and Close.
