Adding a Location Page

A Location Page displays name, address, contact details and a location map from Google Maps.

About this task

Default content
When you create a Location Page, a new Component is created for you containing dummy content. You can edit or replace the content.
Content rendering
When used on a Location Page, the content is rendered as a large map that you open as a lightbox using the View Large Map link on the Web page and all location details specified.
as a fully rendered item showing a large map. that can also be opened in a lightbox (popup), to be used in a 1-column layout, or as a smaller teaser item showing only the name of the location and a smaller map.

When used on a Page with 2 or 3 column layout, the content is rendered as a small map with the name of the location.

  9. Add a Google Map to your Web page by specifying the following metadata (you can find coordinate values in a Google Maps URL after the @ sign):
    • Latitude—the latitude coordinates of this location.
    • Longitude—the longitude coordinates of this location.
    • Query String— (optional) - the query string that returns the specified location when entered into Google Maps. This is used in the link to open a large map, so your location is identified in the map explicitly, rather than as geo co-ordinates (the default if no query string is provided)
