Changing the HTML Design Configuration

The HTML Design Configuration Component contains configuration settings for the HTML design.

Procedure

  1. Access the Content Manager Explorer Web site.
  2. Navigate to the Building Blocks/Settings/Core/Site Manager/ Folder.
  3. Open the HTML Design Configuration Component.
  4. Configure the following settings:
    HTML Design
A Component Link to the html-design.zip file, which contains raw design assets.
    Build files
A Component Link to the build-files.zip file, which contains Node.js and modules required to build raw assets.
    Version Number
Used in the Web application when generating links to design assets, for example /system/v0.14/assets/main.css. When you make an update to the HTML design, increment the number before republishing the Publish HTML Design page to ensure that you avoid caching issues in client browsers as the updated assets have a new URL so cached versions are no longer referenced.
    Favicon
The icon associated with your Web site.
    Bootstrap configuration
A Component Link to a Component defining the basic Web site fonts and colors.
    LESS Code Block
A location for adding small customizations of the HTML design using simple LESS/CSS without having to modify the html-design.zip raw assets.
  5. Publish the Publish HTML Design page when you make changes.
