Removing SDL ETS hosts

When you no longer need to use a host for your translation work, you safely remove it from the ETS application. Removing a host, removes the Language Pairs registered on it.

Before you begin

You need to have an ETS administrator user account to access to the following operations.

About this task

Removing a host will trigger the same effects as removing Q-servers and T-servers, which mean all translation jobs that are queued and in-progress on that host's Q-server(s) and T-server(s) will be permanently deleted and language pairs exclusively served by that host's T-server(s) will no longer be listed in the source and target language selection for translation. The Translation Queue will not list any translation jobs that were processed by that host's Q-server(s).

Procedure

  1. Launch the Web GUI.
  2. Log in using an ETS administrator account.
  3. Navigate to Manage > Hosts.
  4. In the upper right-hand corner, select Edit.
  5. Between the Host Agent Port and Language Pairs columns, identify the Hostname row of the host you want to remove, and click on the trash can button on that row.

Results

The host will be removed from the Hostname column and all of its Q-server(s) and T-server(s) are removed.
