Removing Translation Engines

Remove your T-servers from an SDL ETS host when no longer needed.

Before you begin

You need to have an ETS administrator user account to access the following operations.

About this task

Removing a T-server will permanently delete any in-progress translation and may result in associated translation job(s) error. If the T-server to be removed is the only T-server serving that language pair in the ETS instance, then that language pair will no longer be listed in the available source and target selection for translation.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Web GUI.
  2. Log in using an ETS administrator account.
  3. Navigate to Manage > Hosts.
  4. In the upper right-hand corner, select Edit.
  5. Under the T-Servers column, identify the T-server you want to remove, and select the adjacent trash can button.

Results

The server will be removed from the T-Servers column and running Q-servers will no longer distribute translation jobs to the removed T-server.
