The account lockout threshold sets the maximum number of failed logon attempts. When this value is reached, the user account is locked.
Before you begin
- You must have full access to the application server.
Procedure
- On the Content Manager application server, select .
- In the Open input field, type regedit.
- In the registry editor, open the following hierarchy: , then click InfoShareAuthor.
- To configure the account lockout threshold, double-click the AuthTriesBeforeLockout key on the right pane, then change Value data to a numerical value. The value you set here specifies the maximum number of unsuccessful logon attempts before the user account gets locked. The default value is
30.
Only a System Administrator can reset the password of a locked user account .
