Configuring account lockout threshold

The account lockout threshold sets the maximum number of failed logon attempts. When this value is reached, the user account is locked.

Before you begin

  • You must have full access to the application server.

Procedure

  1. On the Content Manager application server, select Start > Run.
  2. In the Open input field, type regedit.
  3. In the registry editor, open the following hierarchy: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Trisoft > TriDK > TridkApp, then click InfoShareAuthor.
  4. To configure the account lockout threshold, double-click the AuthTriesBeforeLockout key on the right pane, then change Value data to a numerical value. The value you set here specifies the maximum number of unsuccessful logon attempts before the user account gets locked. The default value is 30.
Only a System Administrator can reset the password of a locked user account .
