Reference List of Content Manager Settings and Element Names

You can export and generate a report of element names, fields, and values in the Content Manager repository.

Before you begin

Login as the Administrator user on the Content Manager application server and follow the steps below.

Procedure

  1. On the application server, at a command prompt, go to <appInstallPath>\App<projectsuffix>\Database\Common\DatabaseIndependent\Examples\Full-Export
    For example: \InfoShare\AppDITA\Database\Common\DatabaseIndependent\Examples\Full-Export
  2. At the command prompt, enter: RunSetup.bat
  3. You are prompted for information and can accept the default values, shown in square brackets.
    For example:
    • Please give a value for TRIDKSETUP.LOG [.\exportInfoshare.log]
    • Please give a value for TRIDKSETUP_TRIDKAPP [ISHCM]
  4. When prompted to give a value for TRIDKSETUP_USERNAME - be sure to provide a Content Manager username and password with Admnistrator access in the database.
    After answering all prompts, the Tridk XML Setup Console Utility is run; settings and element names are exported to an XML file.

    When the program is done, it does a START of the generated exportInfoShare.xml file which triggers the default view program that is configured for xml files. You can view the result file at any time, <appInstallPath>\App<projectsuffix>\Database\Common\DatabaseIndependent\Examples\Full-Export\exportInfoShare_result.xml in Internet Explorer. A stylesheet is provided for formatting and viewing the file.

    The file contains the elements and fields with links to additional information contained in the file. For example, below is a partial list of the fields in the Element USER. Clicking on the links circled in red, takes you to additional information in the file as shown.
