Tuning Performance
Increase memory, enabling caching, GZIP compression, and other methods can be used to tune the performance of the system.
- Changing Database Memory Settings
Content Delivery is installed with default values based on a set of minimum system requirement criteria. If you find your system's performance unsatisfactory and you have the ability to claim more memory for your Java heap size, modify the defaults by following these steps to change the database memory settings. - Enabling Compression
When you enable compression, Content Delivery uses GZip to compress files to improve download times, resulting in enhanced page load times for readers. - Configuring caching
Each aspect of caching (table of content, publication list, pre-caching, ...) can be configured. - Optimizing distribution performance
Set a timeout to inactive distribution sockets. - Enabling, Disabling, and Clearing Caching
During development, you may find it more efficient to disable document-level caching. After you have completed active development, enable caching.
