Adding a map to a publication

The publication has an XML map. The map references all content for the publication. The map can reference other sub-maps.

Procedure

  1. In the Publication Manager, open a publication:
    1. Click Publication > Open...
The tree view of the repository is displayed.
    2. Locate the folder in the repository that contains your publications and click on it.
    3. In the right pane of the window, select the publication you want to open.
    4. Click the Open button.
  2. Right-click on a new or empty publication then from the shortcut menu, select Add > Map.
The tree view of the repository is displayed.
  3. In the tree view of the repository, locate and select the map you want to use
  4. Click Add.
If the publication had an existing map, it prompts if you want to replace it.
In the Content tab, the map appears under the publication name.
  5. By default the latest version of the map is selected. If needed, you can click on the map and select a version from the top right pane to use in the publication.
The contents of the map appear in the publication tree. If a referenced item is displayed with a red circle icon, it indicates that a version for the item has not been selected.
