Advanced Search
You can search through custom queries.
Advanced searching in lets you create sophisticated search queries to more precisely find exactly the document you are looking for. You can run multiple search queries together to further define your query (for example, find all of these words but also exclude documents that contain any of these other unwanted words). When you enter a simple search word or phrase, the search results list is generated. At the bottom of the search results list is the Can't find what you are looking for? Try Advanced Search link that, when clicked, summons the Advanced Search window.

| all of these words | Finds one or more instances of each word. For example, printer toner error. |
| this exact phrase | Finds the phrase exactly as you enter it, without the need to put quotation marks around the phrase. For example, toner cartridge. You do not need to enter quotes into this field, as your entry becomes the exact phrase search.

| within n words | Finds documents where the words or phrases searched for are within n words of each other. For example, find toner and error within 4 words of each other. |
| one or more of these words | Finds at least one instance of any of the words or exact phrases. For example, the word troubleshooting or the phrase "paper jam". Indicate multiple words and/or phrases by separating them with spaces. |
| any of these unwanted words | Finds only documents that do not contain those words or exact phrases. For example, the word fax or the phrase "loose cable". Indicate multiple words and/or phrases by separating them with spaces. |
| Maximum Results | Limits the number of results displayed. |
| Sort By | Sorts search results by Relevance (how closely the document matches your search criteria), Date (date the document was uploaded), or Alphabetical Order (by name of the document). |
| Language | Limits the results to only publications in the language you specify. |
| Category | Limits the search to only the category you select. For example, search only in table titles. |
