Changing the account settings for Windows task

If the Content Manager service user account is changed and you have batch servers in your configuration, follow this procedure for the Window task that keeps the Content Manager COM+ applications active.

Before you begin

If you do not have a batch server you can skip this procedure.

About this task

Typically there is a Windows task installed on batch servers that keep the Content Manager COM+ applications active. This usually runs under the same credentials as the COM+ applications.

Procedure

  1. Click Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks.
  2. Locate the Content Manager process (scheduled task); this is typically called WakeupIShComponents.
  3. Right-click on the task then select the Properties.
  4. In the Run as field, enter the username of the designated OS user .
    This is domain\username when it is a domain user, or computername\username when it is a local user.
  5. Click Set password and fill in the password of the designated OS user in the password field and the confirm password field.
  6. Click OK.
