Changing the designated system user account

If you change the Windows password for the system account, you must ensure all associated Content Manager accounts are also changed to the new password.

Before you begin make sure that:

  • You know the current password for the account.
  • You have access to the main server and/or batch server.
  • You have a new documented password for the account.
  • You have access to the inputparameters.xml file
  • No publication jobs or other Content Manager background tasks are running on the server.

    In Content Manager Web, click Event Log > Show busy to determine if any background processes are running.

Locate and open the inputparameters.xml file in an editor and write down the current value of the following strings:
  • <param name="websitename">
  • <param name="infoshareauthorwebappname">
  • <param name="infosharewswebappname">
