An object that is checked out of the repository must be checked in to upload the latest data into the repository and to unlock it (make it available to other users). You can check in objects from the Publication Manager or from within your editor.
About this task
From the
Publication Manager, you can check in objects that are marked as checked out in your local storage. If you have an object open in edit mode in another tool, you must first close the file before you can check it in. If it is opened in your authoring tool, you can use the
Check in option on the
SDL Knowledge Center menu.
Procedure
- With the publication opened in the Publication Manager, locate the object you want to check in from the publication tree in the left pane.
- Right-click on the object then click Check In.
- Optionally:
- To change the workflow status of the object, in the Check In window select the Change status check box and select a Status value. If you change the status, you cannot leave the object checked out.
- To keep the object checked out, select the Keep checked out check box. The object is checked into the repository and checked out again to you.
- Click OK.
