Configuring a password policy

A password policy is a set of rules designed to enhance computer security by encouraging users to employ strong passwords and use them properly. As a password policy is often part of an organization's official regulations, Content Manager allows you to configure a password policy.

The password policy applies to all Content Manager internal users.

Configure a password policy whether using ISHSTS security (internal users) or if, for example, you have ADFS enabled.
  • If using ISHSTS, the password policy is used for all user logins.
  • If using ADFS, the password policy is only used for internal users. For instance, Content Manager still needs the admin user to be an internal user so the password policy is enforced for this user.
