Configuring image resolutions

Before you configure Content Importer, edit the ResolutionList.xml file so that Content Importer imports the correct image-resolution values the first time that you start the application.

Before you begin

Determine the applicable values for image resolutions in your Content Manager implementation.

Procedure

  1. Open the ResolutionList.xml file in a text editor.
    The file is located in the directory where you installed Content Importer. By default, Content Importer is installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\Content Importer.
  2. Ensure that the file properly maps file extensions to the image resolutions defined for your Content Manager repository.
    By default, the ResolutionList.xml file contains the following mappings.

  3. Save the modified ResolutionList.xml file.
  4. (If you previously started Content Importer) Reset the image resolutions:
    1. Start Content Importer.
    2. Click Select.
    3. In the File Extension to Resolution mapping window, select all the mappings and click Remove.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Restart Content Importer.
      Content Importer reads the contents of the ResolutionList.xml file and populates the contents of the File Extension to Resolution mapping window.
