Content Delivery for the end user
How to use Content Delivery.
- Welcome to Content Delivery
Content Delivery provides an intuitive, easy to use interface for presenting XML-based publications in a readable format. - Reader Preferences
Reader preferences include personalizing topics that you view in a publication, subscribing to an RSS feed, changing your preferences, and updating your profile. - Specifying the initial topic
When you open a publication, the information you initially see is derived from the map. Instead of displaying this map data, Content Delivery lets you nominate an initial topic of your choosing that displays your preferred content. - Uploading a publication into Content Delivery
When you install Content Delivery, you will want to upload, prepare, and make your publications visible. Follow these steps to upload your publications into Content Delivery. - Publishing
Authors create and edit their content in Content Manager, and then they push it to Content Delivery for publication. - Application URL
Configuring the Content Delivery URL may be important to help the application fit into an existing web architecture or to allow it to be indexed by search engines. - Collaborative feedback
Technical authors and Subject Matter Experts (SME) can use the commenting or editing capabilities of SDL Knowledge Center and Content Manager to enhance the review cycle of technical documentation. - Viewing Audit Trails
You can list all the audit trails currently on the local system, regardless of whether it has been aggregated, but before a garbage collection job removes it from the system. - Advanced Search
You can search through custom queries. - Managing table of content cache
Access to the table of content (TOC) now uses a cache that helps reduce the number of calls to the database, and therefore improves performance. You can check and act on the content of this cache.
