Content Delivery landing page

The Content Delivery landing page is appears when you log in to Content Delivery. From this page, you can manage your Content Delivery experience.

Overview

The Content Delivery landing page gives you a broad view of viewed and edited topics, access to tools used to administer Content Delivery (Analytics, Comments, Manage Publications, Manage Application, and Developer's Workbench), one-click access to visible publications, the Comment Stream, User Preferences, and Search.

The Content Delivery landing page consists of a header and three columns (left, middle, right). Each is described in the sections that follow.

Header

The header is comprised of two rows that span the top of the Content Delivery landing page. Located in the top row of the header at the right are User Preferences and cloud-based online Help.

  • User Preferences lets you choose one of the available languages for the user interface (such as English, German, or Japanese). You can also upload your profile photo, which is used to complement your credentials, contributions, and comments.
  • (?) Help lets you access the latest Content Delivery online help from the cloud.

Located in the bottom row of the header at the right are Search and Advanced Search.

  • Search provides a Google-style search type-in field. Once you enter a basic search, search results are returned in groups of 10 per page. At the bottom right of each search results page, you can click the Can't find what you are looking for? Advanced Search link to refine your query.
  • When you click the Advanced Search button (located to the right of the Search type-in field), a window appears where you can specify filtering criteria to fine-tune your search query.

Left Column

The left column is comprised of the My Recent Topics and Administration Tools panes. The latter provides access to pages beyond the Content Delivery landing page.

  • My Recent Topics keeps you informed of the last 10 topics that you have viewed or edited. If you have not enabled Editing, it shows only recently viewed topics. You can click a link to summon the topic.
  • Administration Tools lets you access pages other than the landing page. Pages are labeled with buttons that represent their function. The pages available to you are governed by licensing and permissions.
    • Analytics—used to access analytics reports.
    • Comments—used to access the comment table (tabular view).
    • Manage Publications—used to add, remove, or hide publications (including language versions) and other configuration items.
    • Manage Application—Provides system status information, an installation and upgrade log; global and custom configuration settings; audit reports; distribution and packaging profiles and an event log; user and group authentication; search index and search categories; a sitemap; configuration options for XQuery functions and XSL styles; and a suite of tests that you can run if you need to troubleshoot your installation.
    • Developer's Workbench—used to create or modify forms and skins.
The middle column contains the Resources pane, which contains Visible Publications. Click the Options button to Show All publications or only Show Visible publications.

The middle column also contains the Sort By drop-down list, from which you can select a sort category to order the list of publications, in either ascending or descending order. The sort category contains entries for each of the column headings in the list of publications. The default sort order is by Name. The sort order that you apply remains in effect during the current and all following sessions in the given browser for the given user.

The Find in list type-in field lets you enter the term to filter by in the publication list. The list of publications shown is reduced to those that match the characters you enter. As you enter characters, the publication list begins to filter, starting with the first non-space character you enter. What you enter in the Find in list is not case sensitive, and responds to an exact match of what you enter. The Find in list filter honors settings that you make in the Sort By drop-down list.

For each publication, columns include Name, Product, Version, Language, Modified (published from Content Manager or Edited from Content Delivery), and the Review end date (as specified in the Content Manager web client.

Right Column

The right column contains the Comment Stream, which includes the reviewer's name and photograph, and the last 10 comments or replies made by any user, in any topic, in any publication on your server. You can click a comment to summon the appropriate topic.
