Introduction to SDL Knowledge Center scalability
A number of deployment scenarios offers an overview of different scaling out options.
Scalability is the ability of a system, network, or process to handle a growing amount of work in a capable manner or its ability to be expanded to accommodate that growth.
This introduction presents:
- The high-level description of a cluster that would involve all components of Knowledge Center, and the variations caused by the use of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, such as ISHSTS or ADFS.
- Levels of scaling out with Content Manager.
- Levels of scaling out with Content Delivery and Collaborative Review.
Some capabilities require affinity and some don't. The affinity is the fact that a request would go to a preferred destination server depending on the sender, whereas normally it would just go to the next available destination.
- Content Manager doesn't require affinity.
- Content Delivery doesn't require affinity.
- Collaborative Review requires affinity.
