Licensing Errors and Banner
The editor has a license key that is verified at the beginning and end of each editing session.
When using the Content Editor editor according to the terms of the license agreement, you should see no sign of the license verification.
However, in the rare event that the license is not valid (or cannot be validated) an "unlicensed" banner is displayed across the top right corner of the editor, and you might see one of these error messages:
- Could not find an Content Editor license file for domain '{hostname}'
- The Content Editor license file for domain '{hostname}' has an invalid format.
- The Content Editor license file for domain '{hostname}' is invalid.
- The Content Editor license file for domain '{hostname}' has been disabled
However, if this happens persistently, you should contact your system administrator to verify that the Content Editor license key is correctly installed on the Content Manager server, typically in \Web<projectsuffix>\Author\Editors\Xopus\license.
