Removing conditions

Conditions can be used on XML elements so you can filter the data for publishing or viewing. In your authoring tool you can easily remove these conditions from XML elements.

Procedure

  1. To remove a condition from an element:
    1. With the object checked-out of the repository and displayed in your authoring tool, place your cursor within the XML element from which you want to remove the condition.
    2. Select SDL Knowledge Center > Conditional text > Remove Conditionor remove the ishcondition attribute from the element using the attribute editing functionality of the editor.
    The condition which was on the element is removed without any warning. You can undo your changes using the standard undo functionality of your editor.
  2. To remove a condition from the Conditions list for the object:
    1. With the object checked-out of the repository and displayed in your authoring tool, place your cursor within the XML element from which you want to remove the condition.
    2. Click SDL Knowledge Center > Conditional text > Set Condition.
      In the Condition Builder window, click on the condition to remove.
    3. Click Delete..
    The condition is removed from the Conditions list however, it remains in the Tree so it can be used at another time.
