Selecting the Object Versions to Use

You must select the version to use for each topic, map, and library that your publication references. The default is the latest version but you can include an older version of an object when necessary. Versions do not have to match within the publication; you can use version 3 which may be latest version of one object, and use version 1 which may be an older version of another object .

About this task

You can use AutoComplete for all objects in the publication then make manual adjustments to individual objects that required a different version from that which AutoComplete selected.

Procedure

  1. In the Publication Manager, open a publication:
    1. Click Publication > Open...
The tree view of the repository is displayed.
    2. Locate the folder in the repository that contains your publications and click on it.
    3. In the right pane of the window, select the publication you want to open.
    4. Click the Open button.
  2. In the publication tree, select the item for which you want to assign or change the version.
  3. In the right pane, click in check box for the version you want to assign.
