The Baseline tab

The Publication Manager's baseline tab provides information about the objects used in the publication such as references that cannot be resolved and the version of the objects included in the baseline, along with access to the options to AutoComplete or Freeze the baseline.

The Baseline tab provides:
  • A table providing information about each item (map, topic, image, resource) used by the publication.

Use this to quickly identify any references that cannot be resolved, and any objects that have not yet been selected.

  • A Locate button which will bring you to the position of the object in the publication tree
  • An AutoComplete tool. You can use this to select a version for each item.
  • The option to Freeze the baseline.

Note that all of the contents must be released before you can freeze the baseline.

After you freeze a baseline, no additional changes can be made to the contents of the publication.

  • Clean Up will help you to remove all objects from the baseline that aren't used in the publication anymore.
  • When you want to have this overview on a piece of paper you can always use the Print option listed.
